VTT and Aalto University

Mikko Möttönen is leader of the Quantum Computing and Devices group and an associate Professor at Aalto University and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. His research interests cover a wide variety of topics in quantum physics and technology. Currently, he is most focused on superconducting electric circuits which he has used to demonstrate the most sensitive bolometer and a quantum-circuit refrigerator. The refrigerator can potentially be used to demonstrate efficient initialization of superconducting qubits, a work that is currently on going.
