Mario Meir-Huber
Head of Big Data, Analytics & AI CoE at A1 Telekom Austria Group

Mario Meir-Huber leads a team of senior experts in Big Data and Advanced Analytics in the A1 Telekom Austria group. Within this team, they drive digital transformation projects in all operating companies.

Next to his professional career, Mario teaches this topic at various universities, write articles about the topic and published several books and e-books on that.

Georg Langs

Georg Langs is an Assoc. Professor at the Medical University of Vienna, heading the Computational Imaging Research Lab and Chief Scientist at contextflow GmbH. He is heading research and method development at the interface of machine learning and medical imaging with the goal to develop novel markers for prediction of disease course and treatment response. He was Research Scientist at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT, where he still holds a Research Affiliate position.

Dr Michael Hammer studied mechanical engineering at the TU in Graz. After his PhD, he started to work at AVL List in Graz, where he first lead the powertrain engineering. After that, he moved on to become the team leader for reliability engineering. In 2017, Michael started to build up the team for Big Data within AVL

Wolfgang Weidinger
Chairperson of the Vienna Data Science Group

Wolfgang Weidinger is Chairperson of the Vienna Data Science Group, a nonprofit association which aims to promote knowledge about Data Science including topics like Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning worldwide. In this position he is part of an international community of data scientists who are working in numerous industries and do a variety of activities like giving talks, writing books or organizing hackathons.

His experience over the last 12 years includes roles as Head of Data Science at the wholesale company Frankstahl and team lead for the DACH analytics team at the consulting firm Experian. He held a position as Senior Quantitative Analyst and Vice President in the CRO, CFO and Business strategy area for Unicredit Bank Austria as well as data scientist and project manager at a startup for optimization, pricing and marketing engineering.
